Mindanao Universities bagged top spots on December 2013 ECE Board Exam

University Graduates
There are currently over a thousand of Philippine universities -- almost 180 of them offers a course in Electronics Engineering, 27 of which are located in Mindanao. Twice each year, a licensure examination for the said course is held in locations as dictated by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC). This examination tests not only the quality of future Electronics Engineers but also the caliber of the Philippine universities that produce those qualified individuals.

Universities such as the University of the Philippines Diliman, University of San Carlos, Mapua Institute of Technology and many others in Luzon and Visayas are known and expected  to secure their top places on the board exam. But Mindanao universities aren't behind in the trend, in fact, 3 out of the top 10 ECE Board Passers are proud Mindanaoans. During the ECE licensure examination on December 14-15, 2013, Engr. Vicenzo L. Lao of Ateneo de Davao University earned his way to the top 3 spot while Kevin Jayvee J. Bautista of University of Mindanao-Davao and Allan D. Valiente Jr. of MSU-Gensan were tied at top 10. Also, list of Philippine universities that offer Electronics Engineering course presented by the PRC shows that Mindanao universities have good status of passers and conditionals (those who fail a subject and would only take the subject they have failed on).

Mindanao universities are sure to produce qualified Electronics Engineers, and these universities are certain to be doing so not just on Engineering fields but on the others as well. Their top performance are something to be looking forward to in the future.
